Are you saying if we use the BS4 components, we need to turn off the RenderAsyncEnabled feature?

If you want to use its own render async features, yes.
I intend to make it compatible with new built in render async, but it is not ready yet.
You can set RenderAsyncEnabled to false just before creating your IWBS Modal window, for instance, and it will be temporarily disabled and it will work.
